About This Position

Join JEVS Human Services as a Community Employment Specialist in an on-call capacity, providing essential coverage within our HireAbility customized employment program. This role is central to our mission of enabling people facing disability and health barriers to build meaningful careers in their communities. Working flexibly as on-call staff, you'll step in to provide continuity of support when regular team members are unavailable, ensuring every client receives the consistent, person-centered guidance they need to move toward employment goals.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Conduct intake assessments and employment readiness evaluations with clients
  • Develop individualized employment plans tailored to each person's strengths, interests, and labor market opportunities
  • Provide job coaching, interview preparation, and workplace skills training
  • Build and maintain relationships with local employers to identify and secure job placements
  • Support clients on the job through onboarding, ongoing coaching, and employer liaison
  • Document progress, track employment outcomes, and report on program success
  • Collaborate with case managers and community partners to ensure coordinated support

What We're Looking For

  • Experience in employment services, vocational rehabilitation, disability support, or case management
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with diverse populations
  • Ability to work flexibly in an on-call coverage model
  • Knowledge of or willingness to learn supported employment best practices
  • Problem-solving mindset and genuine commitment to client success
  • Reliable transportation for community-based work
  • High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree in related field preferred
