Youth Career Advisor – Lebanon

JEVS Human Services is seeking a full-time Youth Career Advisor to join our team in Lebanon, West End, Dauphin County. In this role, you'll guide young people toward meaningful employment and career success, helping them build the skills and confidence to achieve their professional goals.

About the Role

As a Youth Career Advisor, you'll help emerging professionals discover their strengths and navigate the path to rewarding careers. With over eight decades of experience supporting the Greater Philadelphia region, JEVS Human Services has built deep roots in the community. You'll contribute directly to our mission by working with young people to explore career directions, develop practical workplace skills, and transition successfully into employment.

What You'll Do

• Provide personalized career counseling and guidance tailored to each client's aspirations and abilities
• Coach clients through resume development, interview preparation, and job search strategies
• Connect young people with employers and workforce training opportunities in the Lebanon area and region
• Mentor clients on workplace readiness, professional etiquette, and long-term career growth
• Monitor client advancement, celebrate milestones, and refine support based on outcomes
• Cultivate relationships with local employers and industries to create employment pathways
• Collaborate with case management and program staff to advance each client's broader goals

What We're Looking For

• Genuine commitment to youth empowerment and a conviction that young people can achieve their ambitions
• Excellent communication and active listening skills with the ability to build trust
• Demonstrated success working with young adults from varied backgrounds, including those overcoming employment barriers
• Strong organizational ability and skill in managing multiple ongoing client relationships
• Basic computer proficiency and comfort with office software
• Prior experience in career development, youth programs, social services, or mentoring is a plus
