Community Consultant (Leasing Agent)

American Property Management is seeking a full-time Community Consultant (Leasing Agent) for our residential community in Tacoma, Pierce County. You'll be the welcoming face of our properties, guiding prospective residents through the leasing process while delivering exceptional customer service that turns apartment tours into lease signings.

About the Role

As a Community Consultant, you'll take the lead in leasing residential units at our thriving multifamily communities throughout the Tacoma area. Your primary focus will be showcasing apartments to qualified prospects, answering questions about floor plans and amenities, processing lease applications, and building relationships with current residents. This position combines sales skills with genuine community engagement—you're not just filling units, you're welcoming neighbors into their new homes. You'll work directly with prospective residents and their families, collaborating with property management teams to maintain our communities as desirable places to live.

Responsibilities

• Conduct property tours and apartment showings for prospective residents
• Explain lease terms, rental rates, and community amenities in a clear, professional manner
• Complete and process lease applications and rental agreements accurately
• Answer tenant inquiries about policies, maintenance, and community programs
• Maintain the leasing office and common areas in a welcoming, clean condition
• Coordinate move-ins and ensure a positive resident onboarding experience
• Track leasing activity and maintain current knowledge of available units and pricing
• Work collaboratively with property management and maintenance teams
