About This Position
The Commercial Business Development Manager at Cogentanalytics is tasked with driving profitable commercial growth and managing projects from opportunity to closeout. This role involves building and maintaining relationships with key customers such as builders, contractors, property managers, general contractors, and other commercial clients. Responsibilities include developing a robust sales pipeline, preparing estimates, bids, and proposals, scheduling installations, coordinating project activities, and ensuring accurate billing and project closure.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Development: Develop new commercial customers and strengthen existing key accounts by attending networking events as needed.
- Estimating, Bids & Proposals: Prepare detailed estimates, bids, and proposals. Review project scope, labor requirements, material needs, pricing, and projected margins before submission. Track open bids and follow up consistently until opportunities are won or lost.
- Scheduling & Project Coordination: Manage commercial installation scheduling using the company's software. Coordinate with operations leadership, service management, project supervisors, field crews, and customers to ensure labor, materials, timelines, and customer expectations are met before scheduling.

Candidates should possess a proven track record in commercial sales, experience managing projects from start to finish, strong communication skills, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
