Child Care Center Director – New Center!

Learn & Play Montessori is opening a new center in Pleasant Hill, Contra Costa County, and we're seeking an experienced Center Director to lead this exciting expansion. In this full-time role, you'll establish operations, assemble a talented team, and create a nurturing educational environment where children grow and families thrive.

About the Role

This is a rare opportunity to launch a center from inception. You'll oversee all aspects of operations, from hiring and team development to curriculum implementation and compliance. As the founding leader, you'll set the cultural tone and educational standards that define our new facility.

What You'll Do

• Direct daily center operations including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation
• Recruit, onboard, train, and mentor educators and support staff to ensure quality programming
• Implement developmentally appropriate curriculum aligned with early childhood best practices
• Ensure compliance with state child care licensing requirements and safety standards
• Foster strong relationships with families through transparent communication and collaboration
• Evaluate child progress and coordinate with teachers on individual development plans
• Contribute to organizational growth and strategic planning as we expand across the region

What We're Looking For

• Demonstrated experience managing or directing an early childhood education center
• Strong knowledge of state licensing regulations and compliance in child care
• Proven ability to recruit, develop, and lead a teaching team effectively
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Genuine commitment to quality early childhood education and family partnerships
• Bachelor's degree in early childhood education, business administration, or related field
