Hasbro is seeking a Lead Character Artist for Digital Gaming in a full-time role based in the United States. You'll spearhead character creation and artistic direction for our digital gaming franchises, leading a team of talented artists to bring iconic characters to life.

About the Role

As Lead Character Artist, you'll oversee character design, modeling, and artistic direction for Hasbro's digital gaming initiatives. This leadership position combines hands-on artistic expertise with team management, mentoring junior artists while maintaining the highest standards for character quality and brand consistency across our portfolio.

What You'll Do

  • Direct character art vision and execution for game projects, from concept through final implementation
  • Create and oversee the character pipeline, establishing best practices and technical standards
  • Develop high-fidelity character models, textures, and rigging solutions for multiple platforms
  • Mentor and manage a team of character artists, providing creative direction and feedback
  • Collaborate with game designers, producers, and technical artists to ensure artistic goals align with gameplay and performance requirements
  • Stay current with industry tools and techniques, driving continuous improvement in the team's skillset
  • Maintain visual consistency with Hasbro's beloved franchises while pushing creative boundaries

What We're Looking For

  • 7+ years of professional character art experience in game development
  • Proven track record leading character art teams or departments
  • Mastery of industry-standard tools (Maya, ZBrush, Substance Painter, or equivalent)
  • Strong understanding of character rigging, animation requirements, and real-time optimization
  • Portfolio demonstrating diverse character styles and technical execution
  • Experience with multiple platforms (console, PC, mobile) and graphics pipelines
  • Excellent communication and mentoring abilities
  • Passion for gaming and Hasbro's franchises is a plus
