CEO / Business Co-Founder (f/m/d) role at startup FAMILY FLOW

About this Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential digital health organization in Germany's Saarland region. They have developed a scientifically validated, trauma-informed parenting application backed by more than 20 years of clinical research in child and adolescent psychiatry. The clinical concept and evidence base are complete—now they need an entrepreneurial leader to build the company, secure funding, and bring the product to market through Germany's DiGA (digital health reimbursement) pathway and direct-to-consumer channels.

This is a co-founder role, not a traditional employment position. You will incorporate the company, lead fundraising, translate clinical materials into a software roadmap, and own day-to-day operations as the founding clinical and research team transitions from part-time academic roles to advisory capacity.

Responsibilities

• Incorporate the company and lead fundraising efforts (grants, impact investors, or venture capital) to fund app development in German, French, and English
• Own the pathway to inclusion in the German DiGA directory for digital health app reimbursement, in parallel with a free-market B2C launch strategy
• Translate finalized clinical and psychotherapeutic content into a software product roadmap, working with external development partners or agencies
• Manage day-to-day operations full-time while the interdisciplinary founding team (university-based) remains in part-time advisory roles
• Build and execute go-to-market plans for Germany and France, then broader European markets, including social-media-led consumer acquisition

What We're Looking For

• Proven fundraising experience, whether through grants, angel investors, or venture capital, with comfort building a venture from an academic or clinical starting point
• Hands-on operations and project management skills; ability and willingness to work full-time as the sole operational leader initially
• Experience with digital health regulatory pathways in Germany (DiGA familiarity is especially valuable)
• Software or product background, or demonstrated ability to manage and direct external development teams or agencies
• Interest in or experience with child psychiatry, trauma-informed care, parenting technology, or related fields
• Fluency in German and English; French language skills are a strong plus
• Authorization to work in Germany or EU; this role is based in the Saarland region with remote flexibility

Compensation

This is a co-founder equity role. Compensation structure, including founder equity split and any stipend or salary during the fundraising phase, will be negotiated directly between co-founders.
