MILESTONE TRUCKING LLC is hiring experienced CDL A Drivers for OTR Solo, 1099 Dry Van routes based out of Freeport, Nassau County. If you are an independent contract driver who values steady miles and dependable long-haul work, this opportunity is built for you.

About the Role

This is a full-time, over-the-road (OTR) solo driving position operating as a 1099 contract driver. You will run dry van and refrigerated freight on dedicated and line-haul lanes, covering an average of 3,000 to 3,500 miles each week. Drivers can expect to be on the road for roughly 14 to 21 days at a time, with the flexibility to extend your time out if you prefer to maximize your routes.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class A vehicle hauling dry van and refrigerated trailers on long-haul OTR routes
• Complete dedicated and line-haul deliveries on schedule while maintaining compliance with all DOT and safety regulations
• Drive solo across regional and cross-country lanes, averaging 3,000–3,500 miles weekly
• Manage your hours of service and trip planning as an independent 1099 contractor
• No driver load or unload required — keep your focus on the road

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A license
• Willingness to work as a 1099 independent contract driver
• Ability to remain out on the road for 14 to 21 days per stretch
• Experience with OTR solo driving and comfort operating dry van and refrigerated equipment
• Strong commitment to safety and on-time delivery

Home Time

• Earn 2 days of home time for every 14 days worked
• Home at least one weekend each month
• Option to stay out longer when you want additional miles
