Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Waco in Lorena, McLennan County is seeking a full-time Physical Therapist to join our rehabilitation team. We're looking for a licensed clinician who is passionate about helping patients recover and reclaim their independence through skilled physical therapy.

About the Role

This full-time Physical Therapist position offers the opportunity to work with patients at a critical point in their recovery journey. You'll provide direct patient care in an inpatient rehabilitation setting, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to help patients regain function, mobility, and confidence as they progress toward their goals.

What You'll Do

• Conduct comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
• Implement therapeutic interventions, including exercise programming and manual therapy techniques
• Track and document patient progress, adjusting treatment strategies based on clinical findings
• Partner with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other specialists to coordinate patient care
• Provide patient and family education regarding rehabilitation exercises, mobility assistance, and discharge planning
• Maintain detailed clinical documentation and progress notes

What We're Looking For

• Valid Texas Physical Therapist license (DPT or equivalent graduate degree required)
• Professional commitment to patient-centered rehabilitation outcomes
• Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills
• Effective interpersonal and communication abilities
• Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team environment
