About the Role
As a Bookkeeper & Executive Assistant at Emigrant Bank, you will serve as one of two Executive Assistants supporting the Executive Vice Chairman of Emigrant Bank, who also serves as Co-Chairman of the Bank Board. Reporting directly to the Lead Executive Assistant, you will help keep daily operations running smoothly while coordinating closely with the bank's senior officers. This position is based in our New York, NY office.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-level administrative and executive support to the Executive Vice Chairman and Co-Chairman of the Bank Board
- Liaise and coordinate with senior officers across Emigrant Bank to ensure seamless communication and follow-through
- Manage scheduling, correspondence, and day-to-day organizational tasks for executive leadership
- Maintain accurate records and assist with bookkeeping responsibilities tied to the role
- Work collaboratively alongside a second Executive Assistant to share priorities and balance workloads
Qualifications
- Proven experience in an executive assistant, bookkeeping, or comparable administrative support capacity
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and confidential information with discretion
- Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills for interacting with senior bank officers
- Comfort working full-time in an on-site office environment in New York City
- A proactive, dependable approach to supporting busy executives
