Registered Nurse – Observation Unit/Med Surg – Part Time/Days

About the Role

As a Registered Nurse – Observation Unit/Med Surg at Methodist Health System, you will deliver skilled, professional nursing care to a diverse group of patients during day shifts. This part-time position follows a 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. schedule, two days per week, and is based in the United States. You will apply the full nursing process to support positive patient outcomes while working alongside a collaborative care team.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect nursing care to assigned patients on the Observation and Medical-Surgical unit.
• Carry out the complete nursing process: assessment, care planning, implementation of interventions, and ongoing evaluation.
• Guide, supervise, and support other assigned members of the care team.
• Coordinate and communicate with physicians, colleagues, and interdisciplinary staff to ensure continuity of care.
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold established standards of clinical practice and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Clinical competence in delivering both technical and professional nursing care.
• Strong assessment, critical-thinking, and care-planning abilities.
• Ability to direct team members and collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary setting.
• Availability to work two 12-hour day shifts (7 a.m.–7 p.m.) on a part-time basis.
