About the Role

This full‑time support position works alongside certified teachers to help create an inclusive learning environment for students who are developing English proficiency. The aide provides classroom assistance that enables teachers to focus on instruction while ensuring all learners receive the guidance they need to succeed.

What You'll Do

• Assist the lead teacher in preparing daily lessons, organizing materials, and setting up classroom activities
• Support bilingual/ESL students by reinforcing language concepts, clarifying instructions, and offering one‑on‑one help as needed
• Help manage classroom routines, monitor student behavior, and maintain a safe, orderly environment
• Perform administrative tasks such as recording attendance, distributing supplies, and preparing basic paperwork
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to follow individualized education plans and language development goals
• Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities related to ESL instruction

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework in education, linguistics, or a related field is preferred
• Experience working with children, preferably in a classroom or tutoring setting
• Strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with students, teachers, and parents
• Patience, flexibility, and a genuine interest in supporting language learners
• Basic computer literacy for tasks such as email, document creation, and data entry
• Ability to pass required background checks and obtain any necessary school district clearances
