About the Role
As Shift Manager at this Burger King in Hooks, you'll own restaurant operations during your assigned shift, maintaining high guest satisfaction while managing financial controls and operational compliance. With full accountability when management is not present, you'll report directly to the General Manager and serve as the senior leader on duty, setting the standard for service quality and team performance.
What You'll Do
- Direct and supervise team members to deliver excellent guest service
- Manage cash handling, register reconciliation, and financial accountability
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and company operational procedures
- Oversee food preparation quality, speed, and consistency
- Handle crew scheduling, assignments, and performance during your shift
- Address operational issues and resolve problems independently and effectively
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe restaurant environment
- Communicate shift updates and concerns to the General Manager
What We're Looking For
- Prior experience in shift leadership or supervisory roles in food service
- Proven ability to motivate and manage team members
- Solid grasp of financial controls and cash management procedures
- Knowledge of food safety and health compliance regulations
- Strong communication and conflict-resolution abilities
- Self-directed problem-solving under pressure
- Reliability and consistent work performance
- Flexibility to work assigned shifts, including nights, early mornings, and weekends
