Join the clinical team at Ozark Center as a part-time Residential Psych Tech at our Turnaround Ranch facility, where you'll make a direct impact on the lives of young people in our care.
About the Role
As a Residential Psych Tech on our cottage-based treatment team, you'll serve as a trusted member of the clinical staff providing essential day-to-day support to residents in our residential program. Working in a structured therapeutic environment, you'll apply evidence-based practices to help young people achieve positive behavioral and emotional growth while supporting their individualized treatment goals.
What You'll Do
- Provide direct supervision and care to residents during daily activities, meal times, recreational programs, and therapeutic sessions
- Assist in implementing personalized treatment plans and behavioral interventions as prescribed by clinical leadership
- Monitor resident behavior, emotional state, and social interactions, documenting observations to support treatment progress
- Support residents in developing healthy coping skills, positive peer relationships, and daily living competencies
- Respond to behavioral challenges with de-escalation techniques and therapeutic crisis intervention when needed
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, counselors, and other treatment team members to ensure coordinated, integrated care
- Maintain a safe, structured cottage environment aligned with facility policies and clinical protocols
- Assist with recreational and educational activities that reinforce therapeutic goals
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Experience working with children and adolescents in a clinical, educational, or residential setting (preferred)
- Understanding of behavioral health, trauma-informed care, and developmental needs of young people
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to build trust with residents and team members
- Ability to remain calm and respond professionally to behavioral crises
- Willingness to follow treatment protocols and participate in ongoing training
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Background clearance and ability to pass a drug screen
