About the Role

As a Service Advisor with Group 1 Automotive, you'll be the trusted bridge between our customers and our skilled technicians. This full-time position is central to our service department's success—you'll listen to customer concerns, recommend maintenance and repair solutions, write detailed service orders, and ensure every interaction builds loyalty and satisfaction.

What You'll Do

• Greet customers warmly and understand their vehicle service needs and concerns
• Inspect vehicles alongside customers to identify maintenance and repair requirements
• Write clear, accurate service orders with specific details and customer authorizations
• Explain repair recommendations and costs in accessible language, answering questions confidently
• Schedule service appointments and manage the flow of vehicles through the department
• Communicate progress updates to customers and resolve any service concerns promptly
• Coordinate with service technicians to ensure quality work and timely completion
• Follow up with customers after service to confirm satisfaction and encourage preventive maintenance
• Maintain accurate records and meet service department targets

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent education
• Proven customer service experience, preferably in automotive or technical environments
• Strong communication and listening skills to build customer trust
• Organizational ability to manage multiple appointments and service orders
• Basic computer skills and comfort learning dealership management systems
• Problem-solving mindset and ability to handle customer concerns professionally
• Mechanical knowledge or willingness to develop automotive understanding on the job
• Reliable transportation and ability to work full-time dealership hours
