Acquisition Lead

SAIC is hiring a full-time Acquisition Lead in Chantilly, Fairfax County, Virginia, to deliver systems engineering expertise in support of a mission-critical national security program.

About the Role

As an Acquisition Lead with SAIC, you will guide systems engineering activities across the acquisition lifecycle from an on-site position in Chantilly, VA. This day-shift role supports complex engineering and sciences efforts and may involve occasional travel, estimated at roughly 10 percent of the time.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide systems engineering leadership across acquisition planning and execution.
• Coordinate engineering activities to advance program objectives and customer requirements.
• Support technical decision-making throughout the acquisition lifecycle.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to drive successful outcomes.
• Travel as needed, approximately 10 percent, to fulfill mission requirements.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated background in systems engineering, ideally within an acquisition or program environment.
• An active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required for this position.
• Availability to work full-time, on-site in Chantilly, Virginia, on a standard day schedule.
• Willingness to travel up to about 10 percent of the time.
