Attendance Clerk – Sumter Career and Technology Center

Sumter School District seeks a full-time Attendance Clerk to support our Sumter Career and Technology Center with essential record-keeping and attendance management responsibilities.

About the Role

As Attendance Clerk at Sumter Career and Technology Center, you'll work directly with the Building Principal to manage student attendance systems and documentation. Your work ensures that attendance records are accurate, complete, and available for school and district reporting requirements. You'll be instrumental in supporting our school's commitment to helping every student succeed through consistent attendance and engagement.

What You'll Do

• Document and organize student attendance with precision and accuracy
• Review attendance patterns to identify areas of concern
• Alert the Building Principal to attendance issues requiring administrative action
• Compile and file attendance reports as needed for school and district requirements
• Participate in attendance support programs that help students develop regular attendance habits
• Handle attendance-related correspondence and maintain confidential student records
• Coordinate with parents and guardians on attendance-related matters

What We're Looking For

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Strong organizational and record-keeping skills
