About the Role
The Assistant Swim Coach position supports our competitive swimming program during the seasonal training and competition cycle. You'll work alongside experienced coaching staff to deliver high-quality instruction, athlete development, and team support. This role is ideal for someone passionate about swimming, athlete mentorship, and creating a positive competitive environment.
What You'll Do
- Conduct daily swimming practices emphasizing stroke technique, conditioning, and competitive preparation
- Develop training programs that challenge swimmers of various ability levels
- Provide personalized feedback and performance coaching to individual athletes
- Support meet logistics, athlete supervision, and in-competition coaching during races
- Collaborate with the head coach and athletic staff to maintain program standards and team culture
- Monitor athlete safety, health, and compliance with program policies
- Track progress and communicate regularly with swimmers and families about development
