We are representing a confidential financial services organization in Paris seeking an experienced Java Technical Architect to join their critical systems team. This role focuses on high-performance solutions within capital markets environments where architectural decisions have direct business impact.

Our client operates complex distributed systems that require deep technical expertise combined with financial domain knowledge. You'll be architecting solutions that must perform under real-time constraints and handle significant scale.

Responsibilities

• Design and evolve technical architecture for mission-critical trading and market data systems
• Lead architectural decisions for distributed systems and cloud-based platforms
• Ensure high availability, performance, and scalability of financial applications
• Define technical standards and best practices for development teams
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into robust technical solutions
• Guide development teams on implementation of architectural patterns
• Evaluate and integrate new technologies appropriate for real-time, high-throughput environments

What we're looking for

• Strong expertise in Java development and enterprise architecture
• Proven experience with distributed systems and high-performance computing
• Background in financial markets technology, trading systems, or risk platforms
• Knowledge of real-time systems and low-latency architectures
• Experience with cloud platforms and modern infrastructure patterns
• Ability to work on critical systems where downtime is not acceptable
• Strong problem-solving skills for complex technical challenges
• Fluency in French and professional English
