ArcGIS Utilities Industry Principal Director

Accenture seeks an experienced ArcGIS Utilities Industry Principal Director to lead strategic geospatial initiatives in our Huntington, Orange County office. In this leadership role, you'll drive enterprise spatial data solutions for energy and utility sector clients, combining deep industry expertise with cutting-edge geographic information systems technology.

About the Role

As Principal Director, you'll oversee the design and deployment of ArcGIS solutions that transform how utilities manage transmission and distribution networks, customer data, and operational assets. You'll partner with major energy providers and utility operators to enhance their digital capabilities, from real-time asset tracking to predictive maintenance and customer engagement platforms.

What You'll Do

• Lead the strategy and implementation of enterprise ArcGIS solutions for utilities clients
• Guide cross-functional teams in spatial data architecture, analytics, and application development
• Develop and present GIS-enabled business cases to C-suite executives and technical stakeholders
• Direct client engagements across the full lifecycle: discovery, platform design, deployment, and optimization
• Mentor senior consultants and architects on utilities industry best practices and GIS innovation
• Collaborate with Accenture's Utilities Practice to advance capabilities in digital customer engagement, network operations, and connected energy services

What We're Looking For

• 10+ years in utilities, energy, or telecommunications industries, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
• Demonstrated expertise implementing ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, or spatial analytics platforms
• Strong background in T&D (transmission and distribution) operations, asset management, or utility technology strategy
• Proven ability to win and lead significant client engagements
• Exceptional communication skills and ability to translate technical solutions for business audiences
• Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geography, Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent professional experience)
