Applied AI Architect, Large Enterprise

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential AI technology organization seeking an Applied AI Architect for their large enterprise practice in London. This is a hybrid role requiring three days per week in the office, with relocation assistance available for the right candidate.

In this position, you will act as the senior technical owner for a portfolio of enterprise customers, serving as their primary technical advisor throughout their AI adoption journey. You will partner closely with commercial teams while owning the technical strategy, solution architecture, and path to production value. This role combines executive-level strategic thinking with hands-on technical expertise, requiring you to move confidently between boardroom conversations and deep architectural discussions.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical advisor and relationship owner for a named portfolio of existing customers and pre-sales prospects
• Own technical account plans, adoption roadmaps, and expansion strategies while partnering with account directors on overall customer strategy
• Lead discovery sessions with executives and technical teams to identify and prioritize use cases tied to measurable business outcomes
• Develop comprehensive AI architectures spanning models, applications, data integration, security, privacy, governance, and deployment
• Guide customers through technical evaluations, demonstrations, workshops, prototypes, and proofs of value
• Maintain a focused use-case portfolio with clear success criteria, ownership assignments, and adoption plans
• Build trusted relationships with CTOs, CIOs, CISOs, AI leaders, and engineering stakeholders across customer organizations
• Coordinate support from deployment engineering, implementation teams, enablement specialists, and delivery partners
• Track adoption metrics, production readiness, and customer impact while intervening early when risks emerge
• Apply industry expertise to recognize patterns and identify relevant expansion opportunities
• Share customer insights with product and engineering teams to inform platform development

What We're Looking For

• Significant experience in customer-facing technical roles such as solutions architecture, solutions engineering, technical account management, or AI deployment
• Proven track record guiding enterprise organizations from technical evaluation through production adoption and measurable business impact
• Ability to build credibility with senior technical and business leaders while communicating effectively with hands-on engineers
• Strong software and cloud architecture foundations, including APIs, distributed systems, data integration, identity, security, and privacy
• Understanding of modern AI systems, large language models, agentic applications, model evaluation, retrieval, or enterprise AI workflows
• Ability to prototype and explain technical tradeoffs using APIs, SDKs, and languages such as Python or JavaScript
• Sound judgment about when to engage personally versus when to involve specialists and how to define clear ownership handoffs
• Experience developing technical account plans, prioritizing complex customer portfolios, and connecting adoption to measurable outcomes
• Meaningful expertise in a relevant industry or strong fluency with digital-native business needs
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to turn ambiguity into practical technical narratives and action plans
• Collaborative working style with commitment to responsible AI deployment
