Associate Software Engineer in Test 18 months Fixed Term ontract

About This Opportunity

We are representing a fast-growing MedTech organization that is transforming patient care through advanced imaging and tracking technologies. Our client operates globally with systems deployed in thousands of clinical settings worldwide.

This is an 18-month fixed-term contract for an Associate Software Engineer in Test based in Basingstoke, Hampshire. You'll join a growing engineering team working on innovative healthcare software products, with exposure to cutting-edge technologies including AI and automation.

Responsibilities

• Become familiar with software products and associated systems under test
• Review and understand requirements, test plans, and test cases
• Create and maintain test cases based on requirements and technical documentation
• Prepare and manage test data required for testing activities
• Execute manual and automated testing for software releases
• Develop and maintain automated test suites
• Identify, document, and track software defects
• Perform regression and verification testing on resolved issues
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and continuous improvement activities
• Work in accordance with quality standards and industry best practices

What We're Looking For

• Degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or 1-2 years of experience in Software Engineering or Test Automation
• Interest in Artificial Intelligence and software development
• Experience with software development through commercial work, university coursework, or personal projects
• Understanding of software testing principles and quality assurance practices
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies
