Android Developer – AI Finance Agent

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential fintech organization that is reimagining personal finance through AI-powered mobile experiences. They are building next-generation tools to help people manage spending, saving, and investing with greater intelligence and accessibility.

We are seeking an experienced Android Developer to join their distributed engineering team. This is a remote position based in Germany, working with a multinational team of over 20 nationalities building mobile-first financial products.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship native Android features using Kotlin and modern architecture patterns
• Create intuitive mobile flows for financial services including payments, insurance, and account management
• Collaborate with product and design teams to simplify complex user journeys and improve usability
• Integrate backend APIs ensuring mobile flows remain stable, secure, and reliable in production
• Optimize app performance metrics including crash rates, loading states, responsiveness, and memory usage
• Leverage analytics and user behavior data to identify and resolve production issues
• Develop AI-assisted mobile experiences that genuinely enhance the user journey

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of Android development experience with strong Kotlin proficiency
• Proven track record shipping production Android applications
• Deep knowledge of Jetpack, Coroutines, Flow, and modern Android architecture components
• Strong understanding of mobile UX principles, usability patterns, and edge case handling
• Experience integrating REST APIs and debugging production issues in live environments
• Fast execution style with high ownership and attention to product quality
• Portfolio including app links, GitHub repositories, or screenshots of shipped work strongly preferred
• Must be currently based in Germany with legal authorization to work
• Strong English communication skills required for global team collaboration

Technical environment: Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Android SDK, Coroutines & Flow, SQL/NoSQL, TensorFlow Lite for on-device inference
