About the Role

As an Afterschool Counselor at the Teen Center, you will lead and supervise a group of youth participants throughout daily planned activities. Working alongside fellow staff members, you'll create a positive atmosphere that supports each child's growth, well-being, and sense of belonging in a high-quality children's program based in Boca Raton, Palm Beach County.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise children and teens during all scheduled program activities while staff members are present.
• Maintain a secure, welcoming environment that protects participants both physically and emotionally.
• Provide leadership that keeps the afterschool program running smoothly and at a high standard of quality.
• Communicate program rules, daily routines, and expectations clearly so every participant understands them.
• Prioritize the safety and health of all youth at every stage of the day.

Qualifications

• A genuine commitment to the safety and positive development of children and teens.
• Strong leadership and supervision skills within a group setting.
• The ability to foster a healthy, supportive, and respectful environment for young participants.
• Reliable, attentive, and able to enforce program rules with patience and consistency.
• Availability for a full-time, on-site schedule in Boca Raton.
