Health & Wellness – Personal Trainers – Evansville Locations

Join the Young Mens Christian Association Of Southwestern Indiana as a part-time Personal Trainer in Evansville, Vanderburgh County. Support our mission to strengthen the community while helping members achieve their fitness and wellness goals.

What This Role Involves

As a Personal Trainer at the Y, you'll work directly with members of all ages and fitness levels, delivering motivational coaching and expert guidance in a supportive community environment. You'll partner with our Senior Wellness Director and team to create tailored fitness experiences that align with each member's health objectives, while embodying the Y's commitment to youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Conduct fitness assessments and consultations with members to understand their goals and current fitness levels
• Design and implement personalized workout programs that challenge and inspire members
• Provide hands-on instruction and form correction during training sessions
• Maintain a welcoming, encouraging atmosphere that motivates members to commit to their health journey
• Monitor member progress, adjust programs as needed, and celebrate achievements
• Uphold safety standards and proper facility usage protocols
• Contribute to a culture of wellness and community support within the Y

Skills & Qualifications

• Genuine passion for fitness, wellness, and helping others achieve their goals
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to motivate and connect with diverse members
• Knowledge of exercise science, proper form, and personalized training principles
• Ability to work flexibly in a part-time capacity at our Evansville, Vanderburgh County locations
• Professional demeanor with a commitment to exceptional member service
• Current fitness certification (such as ACE, NASM, ISSA, or equivalent) preferred or required based on Y standards
