Larsen Manufacturing is seeking an experienced Tool & Die Maker for a 1st shift position in Hawthorn Woods, Lake County. This part-time role requires a minimum of 40 hours weekly, with regular overtime opportunities.
About the Role
In this position, you'll work in our tool room environment, designing, fabricating, and maintaining progressive dies, compound dies, and secondary dies. You'll manage multiple projects and priorities while supporting our production schedule and collaborating with the Tool Room Manager.
What You'll Do
- Design, fabricate, and maintain progressive dies, compound dies, and secondary dies
- Manage project priorities and workloads within the tool room
- Perform precision work and quality checks to meet technical specifications
- Execute maintenance and troubleshooting on existing tooling systems
- Coordinate with the Tool Room Manager and production team on scheduling
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a Tool & Die Maker
- Expertise in building and maintaining progressive, compound, and secondary dies
- Strong ability to organize and prioritize multiple work projects
- Precision craftsmanship and attention to technical specifications
- Availability for 1st shift work on a part-time basis, with flexibility for overtime
- Reliability, thoroughness, and quality focus
