Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician (Full-time)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential healthcare organization operating a modern, technology-enabled dispensing facility in Winnersh. Our client has moved beyond traditional retail pharmacy environments—there's no retail counter, no walk-in traffic, no OTC sales. Instead, the focus is entirely on accuracy, quality control, and patient safety in a purpose-built, state-of-the-art facility with onsite parking.

This is a full-time Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician role for a professional who wants to work with purpose and precision in a setting that respects your expertise.

Responsibilities

• Perform accuracy checks on dispensed medicines, ensuring full compliance with legal, operational, and safety standards
• Take ownership of the end-to-end dispensing process, maintaining accountability beyond individual tasks
• Maintain clear, accurate prescription records and escalate discrepancies immediately
• Mentor junior colleagues and contribute to a team culture rooted in accountability, safety, and quality
• Stay current on professional development, best practice, and regulatory changes
• Work collaboratively with the wider pharmacy team to ensure timely, accurate patient outcomes

What We're Looking For

• Level 3 NVQ in Pharmacy Services (ACT) or equivalent ACT qualification
• Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the GPhC (non-negotiable)
• Proven experience in a pharmacy setting with a strong track record in accuracy checking
• Deep working knowledge of pharmacy regulations, policies, and SOPs
• Exceptional attention to detail and a methodical approach to quality control
• Direct communication style with a strong sense of accountability
• Genuine commitment to patient outcomes and safety

Role Details and Pay

Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with Saturday shifts available as overtime or on a rota basis
