26-27 4th Grade Math Teacher

KIPP is hiring a dedicated 4th Grade Math Teacher to join our school community in Jacksonville, FL. This is a full-time position where you'll inspire young mathematicians and build a strong foundation in numeracy and problem-solving skills.

What This Role Involves

As a 4th Grade Math Educator at KIPP in Jacksonville, you will create engaging, standards-aligned mathematics instruction that develops critical thinking and mathematical reasoning in upper elementary students. You'll design and deliver lessons that make complex concepts accessible, foster student confidence with numbers, and prepare learners for success in higher mathematics. This role places you at the center of student growth, where your expertise shapes not just academic achievement, but a genuine love of learning.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Plan and teach rigorous 4th grade math lessons aligned to state standards and district curriculum
• Assess student understanding through formative and summative assessments, and adjust instruction accordingly
• Differentiate instruction to support learners at all levels, including advanced and struggling students
• Manage a positive, organized classroom environment that promotes academic engagement and behavioral expectations
• Collaborate with grade-level colleagues on curriculum planning, data analysis, and instructional strategies
• Communicate regularly with families about student progress, strengths, and areas for growth
• Participate in professional development and staff meetings to continuously improve teaching practice
• Contribute to a culture of accountability and high expectations for all students

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
• Current Florida teaching certificate or eligibility for certification in Elementary Education with Math specialization
• Strong knowledge of 4th grade mathematics content and effective instructional methods
• Demonstrated ability to manage a classroom and build positive student relationships
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Commitment to working with diverse learners and closing achievement gaps
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and respond to feedback
