About the Role

Pinterest’s Service Configuration & Coordination team builds platforms, APIs, and tooling that ensure dynamic configuration and service coordination are safe, scalable, and reliable for every service across regions and clouds. As a Senior Staff Software Engineer, you will own the end-to-end technical strategy and long-term vision for our configuration and coordination infrastructure. You’ll define the future of these mission-critical systems, partnering closely with Traffic, Compute, Observability, and Cloud Architecture teams to deliver robust, high-performing solutions.

Responsibilities

• Owning the technical strategy and long-term vision for configuration and coordination infrastructure
• Partnering with Traffic, Compute, Observability, and Cloud Architecture teams to ensure robust, high-performing systems
• Defining future mission-critical systems that leverage AI for enhanced creativity and impact
• Explaining your approach in interviews, showcasing both knowledge and thought process
• Ensuring safe, scalable, and reliable service coordination across regions and clouds

What You Bring

• Experience in building platforms, APIs, and tooling for dynamic configuration and service coordination
• A deep understanding of AI and its application in enhancing system performance and creativity
• Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams to achieve shared goals
• A proven track record of defining technical strategies and long-term visions for mission-critical systems
• Exposure to AI interviews and the ability to explain your approach effectively
