Staff Software Engineer - ADAS Interactive Experience at General Motors in Milford, Michigan, United States of America
The Opportunity
We are seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join our ADAS HMI team within the Interactive Experience platform. In this role, you will define the architecture and technical direction for production software on automotive System-on-Chip (SoC) platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Define the architecture and technical direction for production software on automotive SoC platforms
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions for ADAS HMI systems
- Ensure high-quality, reliable, and efficient code is delivered in a timely manner
- Participate in design reviews and provide technical guidance to junior engineers
- Stay current with emerging technologies and trends in the automotive industry
Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years of experience as a software engineer, preferably in the automotive industry
- Expertise in C++, Python, or other relevant programming languages
- Familiarity with automotive System-on-Chip (SoC) platforms and their development tools
- Experience with ADAS HMI systems and user interface design principles
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred
