About the Role
The Director of SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting will lead a team responsible for external reporting and technical accounting at Emergent BioSolutions. This role involves hands-on preparation of Form 10-K and 10-Q, completion of disclosure checklists, data gathering, footnote preparation, discussion on various filing documents, and high-level review of XBRL tagging. The incumbent will ensure timely and accurate SEC filings, support the quarterly earnings releases and investor relations presentations, manage non-GAAP disclosures, and perform technical research on complex accounting topics such as revenue and leases.
Your Responsibilities
- Lead a team to prepare SEC reports including Form 10-K and 10-Q
- Complete disclosure checklists, data gathering, and footnote preparation
- Discuss comments on various filing documents and perform high-level review of XBRL tagging
- Ensure timely and accurate filing of all SEC-related tasks
- Support the preparation of quarterly earnings releases and investor relations presentations
- Manage non-GAAP disclosures to ensure consistency with SEC regulations
- Perform technical research on complex accounting topics such as revenue and leases, and provide recommendations for reporting under US GAAP Draft
- Review and maintain global accounting policies and technical accounting memos
- Keep business partners informed of developments in accounting and financial reporting through review of various publications
Qualifications
Candidates should possess a CPA or CFA, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in SEC reporting and technical accounting. Strong knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, and SEC regulations is required. Experience leading a team and managing multiple projects simultaneously is essential. Excellent communication skills are necessary to interact effectively with cross-functional teams.
