Position Summary
The Property Accounting Manager at Summerfield Management, LLC is responsible for overseeing financial operations and ensuring accurate accounting practices across multiple properties. This role requires a blend of strategic planning and hands-on management to support the growth and efficiency of our property management firm.
What You'll Do
- Manage daily financial transactions and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Prepare and review financial reports, budgets, and forecasts to provide insights for decision-making.
- Oversee the preparation of monthly financial statements and ensure timely submission to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with property managers and other departments to resolve financial discrepancies and improve processes.
- Ensure accurate billing and collections, maintaining strong relationships with vendors and tenants.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in property accounting or related field.
- CPA certification preferred but not required.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Proficiency with financial software and Excel for data analysis.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
