Accounting Manager

CornerStone Professional Placement is seeking an Accounting Manager for our Richardson, Dallas office. This full-time, direct hire position offers the opportunity to drive financial strategy and leadership in a stable, privately owned organization that values accounting expertise.

About the Role

As Accounting Manager at CornerStone Professional Placement, you'll own critical accounting functions that directly impact our financial health and operational decision-making. This is a hands-on leadership role in Richardson, TX, where you'll report directly to senior management and establish yourself as a trusted financial advisor across the business. You'll work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, in our Richardson location.

What You'll Do

• Direct and manage the General Ledger function, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with accounting standards
• Oversee monthly and year-end financial reporting, delivering clear, actionable reports to leadership
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting team, fostering growth and professional development
• Implement process improvements and internal controls to strengthen financial operations
• Partner with department heads on budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support business strategy
• Maintain compliance with GAAP, tax requirements, and regulatory obligations

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 5+ years of accounting experience, with 2+ years in a management or supervisory capacity
• Expertise in General Ledger management and month-end/year-end close procedures
• Proficiency with accounting software and MS Excel
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and motivate team members
• Excellent communication skills and ability to translate financial data for non-financial audiences
