Position Summary

As an Ambulatory Tech-Imaging at Penfield, you'll play a vital role in our diagnostic imaging department, supporting physicians and patient care teams with advanced imaging procedures. You'll operate specialized diagnostic equipment, prepare patients for imaging studies, and ensure accurate image capture while maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and comfort. This role combines technical expertise with compassionate patient interaction in a fast-paced ambulatory care setting.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Operate diagnostic imaging equipment with precision and adherence to clinical protocols
• Position patients and imaging equipment to optimize diagnostic accuracy and image quality
• Prepare patients for procedures, explaining the process and addressing concerns
• Maintain and troubleshoot imaging systems to ensure reliable operation
• Record, document, and communicate imaging findings to the clinical care team
• Follow strict infection control, radiation safety, and occupational health standards
• Respond to patient needs and ensure comfort throughout all procedures

What We're Looking For

• Current certification from an accredited imaging technologist program (AART, ARRT, or equivalent)
• Demonstrated experience operating diagnostic imaging equipment in a clinical setting
• Strong knowledge of imaging modalities, patient positioning, and safety protocols
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with diverse patient populations
• Ability to work efficiently in a collaborative ambulatory care environment
• Commitment to patient care, clinical excellence, and continuous learning
