Accounts Payable Analyst

Marmon is hiring an Accounts Payable Analyst for our Chicago, Illinois office. This is a full-time role supporting our financial operations team as we process, verify, and manage vendor payments and accounts payable transactions.

About This Position

Join Marmon's finance team as an Accounts Payable Analyst in Chicago. You'll be responsible for managing the day-to-day accounts payable function, including invoice receipt, processing, and payment execution. This role plays a key part in maintaining strong vendor relationships and ensuring accurate financial record-keeping. Key Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner, including verification against purchase orders and receiving documentation
• Maintain and update the vendor master file, ensuring current contact information and payment terms
• Prepare and process payment runs, including checks and electronic payments
• Reconcile accounts payable subledger to the general ledger, investigating and resolving discrepancies
• Research and resolve invoice disputes, payment issues, and vendor inquiries
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including accrual adjustments
• Assist with audit preparation by organizing documentation and responding to auditor requests

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (associate degree or higher preferred)
• 1–3 years of accounts payable, accounting, or related experience
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to accurately process high-volume transactions with attention to detail
• Professional communication skills and ability to work effectively with vendors and internal stakeholders
• Familiarity with 1099 and tax compliance basics
