Swine Service Manager

Prestage is hiring a Swine Service Manager to lead operations at our Ames, Iowa facility. This full-time role offers an opportunity to manage daily swine production activities, supervise team members, and ensure efficient, compliant operations across our farm.

The Opportunity

We're seeking an experienced operations professional to join our team in central Iowa. As a Swine Service Manager, you'll oversee all aspects of our swine production facility, from animal care protocols to staff coordination and facility maintenance. This role reports directly to senior management and is essential to maintaining our high standards for animal welfare, productivity, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily swine production operations, including feeding, health monitoring, and breeding programs
• Supervise and train facility staff, ensuring consistent execution of standard operating procedures
• Monitor animal health and welfare, coordinating with veterinary resources as needed
• Maintain equipment and facilities in safe, functional condition
• Track and report production metrics, health records, and operational data
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies
• Troubleshoot operational challenges and implement solutions to optimize efficiency

Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience in swine operations or animal agriculture management
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities
• Knowledge of swine husbandry, health protocols, and biosecurity practices
• Ability to work in a farm environment and perform hands-on duties as needed
