Diesel Mechanic

Prestage is seeking a full-time Diesel Mechanic to join our West Point, Mississippi team. This position involves maintaining and repairing diesel-powered equipment to keep operations running at peak performance.

What This Role Involves

Working as a Diesel Mechanic in West Point, you'll provide expert-level maintenance and repair support for diesel engines and related systems. This role demands technical skill, attention to detail, and adherence to safety standards that protect both equipment and personnel.

Core Duties

• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems
• Perform preventive maintenance and scheduled service work
• Use diagnostic tools to identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues
• Replace components including gaskets, seals, bearings, filters, and hoses
• Inspect equipment and document maintenance and repair activities
• Follow safety protocols and maintain clean, organized work areas
• Work collaboratively with operations and maintenance teams

Requirements

• Proven work experience as a diesel mechanic or diesel technician
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities
• Competency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
• Ability to read technical manuals and equipment specifications
• Physical capability to lift equipment and work in various positions
• Sound understanding of diesel engine systems and components
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
• Valid driver's license (preferred)
