Position Summary
ProKatchers connects experienced registered nurses with short-term travel assignments across the United States. This Emergency Department role places you in a fast-paced clinical setting where you'll deliver direct patient care during 12-hour night shifts. The 36-hour weekly schedule over your 13-week assignment allows you to build depth in acute emergency nursing while maintaining intentional work-life balance during an intensive rotation.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor patients presenting with acute medical and trauma emergencies
- Perform rapid triage, obtain vital signs, and maintain continuous patient observation during night shifts
- Administer medications, manage peripheral and central lines, and document care in electronic medical records per facility protocol
- Anticipate and respond to emergency interventions, assisting physicians and advanced practitioners during acute procedures
- Communicate clinical updates to the interprofessional team and coordinate care transitions across departments
- Uphold patient safety standards and support colleagues in a collaborative, high-acuity environment
What You Bring
- Current Washington State Registered Nurse License
- American Heart Association certification (ACLS/BLS or current equivalent)
- Prior emergency nursing experience or demonstrated ability to adapt quickly to acute care settings
