Azure Systems Administrator

About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Azure Systems Administrator to own the design, deployment, and ongoing management of our Microsoft Azure environment. You'll work across multiple Azure services, ensuring systems reliability, performance, and security. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with strategic planning as you help scale our cloud infrastructure to support business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and maintain Azure resources including virtual machines, storage accounts, networking, and databases
• Manage Azure Active Directory, implement identity and access controls, and ensure compliance with security policies
• Monitor system performance and availability; implement automation and optimization strategies to reduce costs and improve efficiency
• Design and execute disaster recovery and backup solutions across our Azure estate
• Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and provide technical support to internal teams
• Conduct security assessments and apply patches and updates to maintain a hardened environment
• Document infrastructure architecture, processes, and runbooks for team knowledge sharing

Qualifications

• 2+ years managing Microsoft Azure infrastructure and services
• Hands-on experience with Azure compute, networking, storage, and security services
• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and infrastructure-as-code tools (ARM templates or Terraform)
• Strong knowledge of Azure Active Directory, role-based access control, and identity management
• Experience with backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving mindset with excellent communication skills
• Azure Administrator Certified (AZ-104) or equivalent certification preferred
