Business Development – Fresh Meadows, Queens

Premium Merchant Funding is hiring a Full Time Business Development professional in Fresh Meadows, New York. You'll drive growth by identifying and closing new merchant partnerships in our Queens-based market.

About the Role

As a Business Development representative at Premium Merchant Funding in Fresh Meadows, you'll lead our merchant acquisition efforts. You'll combine strategic prospecting with consultative selling to connect local and regional merchants with flexible funding solutions. Your focus will be developing new business opportunities and building lasting client relationships that fuel our expansion throughout Fresh Meadows and the surrounding New York area.

Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new merchant clients through targeted prospecting and outreach across Fresh Meadows and the greater New York region
• Develop comprehensive understanding of merchant businesses and their working capital needs
• Present Premium Merchant Funding solutions and negotiate favorable terms with prospective clients
• Manage the merchant approval process and coordinate with underwriting and compliance teams
• Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities to meet or exceed growth targets
• Cultivate long-term relationships with merchants to support retention and business expansion
• Attend industry events, networking opportunities, and merchant forums to expand market presence

What We're Looking For

• Proven track record in business development, sales, or merchant and financial services acquisition
• Strong ability to prospect and convert leads into partnerships
• Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
• Knowledge of merchant funding, merchant cash advances, or similar financial products is a plus
• Self-motivation, resilience, and comfort operating in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively across teams
• Local knowledge of the Fresh Meadows and Queens market is valued
