Head of Sales

Join PolicyStreet as Head of Sales and lead our revenue-generating team in Kuala Lumpur. This full-time role offers the opportunity to build and scale our sales organisation while driving commercial growth across Malaysia's insurance and financial services market.

About This Position

We're seeking an experienced Head of Sales to establish and develop a high-performing sales function at PolicyStreet. You'll take ownership of the complete sales lifecycle—from pipeline strategy and team leadership to client acquisition and revenue targets. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll combine strategic oversight with direct involvement in major accounts and market expansion, reporting directly to senior management.

Responsibilities

• Build, mentor, and lead a talented sales team, establishing processes and performance standards that drive accountability
• Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies aligned with company objectives and market opportunities in Kuala Lumpur and across Malaysia
• Manage the full sales pipeline from prospecting and qualification through closing, ensuring consistent achievement of revenue targets
• Establish key partnerships with corporate clients, brokers, and distribution channels to expand market reach
• Define sales methodologies, tools, and systems that enable team efficiency and scalability
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and client needs to identify growth opportunities
• Collaborate with product and marketing teams to ensure alignment on messaging, positioning, and customer needs
• Provide regular forecasting, pipeline analysis, and performance reporting to leadership

What You Bring

• Proven track record leading enterprise or B2B sales teams, ideally in insurance, fintech, or financial services
• 7+ years of sales experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership or management capacity
• Strong understanding of the Malaysian insurance market and regulatory landscape
• Demonstrated ability to build and scale sales functions from the ground up
• Excellent people management, communication, and strategic thinking skills
• Proficiency with CRM systems and sales analytics platforms
• Ability to work independently, prioritise competing demands, and thrive in a fast-growing environment
