Senior Full Stack AI Engineer

SRM Technologies is hiring a Senior Full Stack AI Engineer for a full-time position based in the United States. You'll architect and build intelligent, scalable software systems that seamlessly integrate artificial intelligence into enterprise applications.

Position Summary

This professional IT engineering role invites a seasoned full stack engineer with 8+ years of software development experience to lead end-to-end product development. You'll design intelligent systems that combine responsive user experiences with powerful backend services and cutting-edge AI capabilities. The position demands deep expertise across modern frontend and backend technologies, proven ability to ship production-grade AI applications, and comfort working across the full software development lifecycle on platforms like AWS, Google Cloud Platform, and Microsoft Azure.

Core Duties

• Architect and build complete web applications spanning responsive interfaces and scalable backend services using React, JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, Python frameworks (Django, FastAPI, Flask), and cloud infrastructure
• Manage full-cycle product development from requirements gathering through architecture, implementation, testing, deployment, monitoring, and iterative improvement
• Integrate advanced AI capabilities into enterprise systems, including Large Language Models, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, chatbot frameworks, and strategic prompt engineering
• Design AI-driven workflows handling document ingestion, vector embeddings, semantic search, retrieval optimization, and response synthesis
• Collaborate across product, design, AI/ML, DevOps, and business teams to deliver user-centered, reliable solutions
• Optimize system performance, security, scalability, and maintainability across frontend, backend, database, and AI layers
• Deploy, configure, and manage applications and AI services across AWS, Google Cloud Platform, and Microsoft Azure
• Build clean, modular, well-tested code adhering to software engineering standards; mentor team members and contribute to architectural decisions

What You Bring

• 8+ years professional software engineering experience, with 3+ years building end-to-end products using both frontend and backend technologies
• Expert-level frontend development with React, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and modern UI practices
• Strong backend competency with Node.js and Python-based frameworks including Django, FastAPI, and Flask
• Hands-on experience designing, consuming, and securing REST APIs; integrating external services
• Practical knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, or equivalent
• Demonstrated experience building or embedding AI-powered features using LLMs, RAG systems, chatbots, and prompt optimization
• Proficiency with AI orchestration frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, LangGraph, or similar platforms
• Hands-on work with vector databases including Pinecone, Weaviate, Qdrant, pgvector, or alternatives
• Solid grasp of software architecture, system design, debugging, performance tuning, and production operations
• Working knowledge of Git, CI/CD automation, unit testing, containerization, and cloud deployment environments
• Experience evaluating AI models, implementing safety mechanisms, reducing hallucinations, and observing AI system behavior
• Track record shipping enterprise SaaS products, internal platforms, automation systems, or customer-facing AI applications
• Excellent communication, technical documentation, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills
