The Opportunity
We're expanding our Liverpool operation and seeking an experienced Debt Recovery Agent to support our growing team. In this role, you'll manage customer accounts, pursue outstanding debts, and maintain professional relationships with creditors and clients alike. Working for a respected organisation trusted by some of the world's largest creditors, you'll contribute to delivering compliant, effective debt recovery solutions on a daily basis.
What You'll Do
- Contact and negotiate with customers regarding outstanding accounts
- Research and verify debt information to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Document all interactions and account activity according to company procedures
- Follow up on payment arrangements and monitor customer compliance
- Support both consumer and commercial debt portfolios
- Maintain professionalism whilst managing challenging customer situations
- Meet performance targets and quality standards
- Work within regulatory guidelines and UK debt recovery legislation
Who We're Looking For
- Proven experience in debt recovery, collections, or similar financial services roles
- Strong communication and negotiation abilities
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Knowledge of UK debt recovery practices and relevant compliance requirements
- Proficiency with computer systems and telephone communications
- A solution-focused, proactive approach to problem-solving
