Role Overview
As our Speech-Language Pathologist, you'll provide teletherapy services to school-aged students, supporting their communication, language, and swallowing needs within the educational setting. Working remotely with students across multiple campuses, you'll become an integral member of multidisciplinary school teams, combining clinical expertise with genuine care for student success.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Deliver evidence-based speech and language teletherapy sessions aligned with individual student goals
- Attend and actively participate in IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings to establish and review therapeutic objectives
- Develop and document comprehensive speech-language assessments and progress reports
- Communicate professionally with teachers, administrators, and support staff to coordinate student care and share therapy insights
- Build positive relationships with students to foster engagement and progress in virtual sessions
- Maintain detailed clinical documentation and service records in compliance with district and state guidelines
Requirements
- Current, active state license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Texas
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Minimum one year of direct clinical experience in a school-based setting
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to establish effective professional relationships with students, families, and school staff
- Comfort with teletherapy platforms and digital documentation tools
