About the Role

As an owner operator with Heniff Transportation, you maintain full control of your schedule and business while gaining access to dispatch support, established shipper relationships, and the infrastructure needed to grow your chemical tanker operation. You'll work independently while benefiting from a carrier that values your expertise and professionalism.

What You'll Do

• Safely transport liquid bulk chemicals across service lanes in compliance with all DOT regulations
• Operate and maintain pump and air systems based on your specific equipment configuration
• Manage loading, unloading, and offloading operations with attention to efficiency and protocol compliance
• Coordinate with dispatch and logistics teams to optimize route efficiency and load placement
• Track operational performance, fuel consumption, and maintenance to maximize profitability

What We're Looking For

• Valid CDL Class A with hazmat and tanker endorsements
• Proven experience in chemical tanker operations and liquid bulk hauling
• Your own equipment—whether fully pump and air equipped, partially equipped, or non-equipped (those without equipment are evaluated individually)
• Strong safety record and proven DOT compliance commitment
• Professional communication and independent problem-solving abilities
• Willingness to coordinate effectively with dispatch and shipper partners

Compensation & Benefits for Owner Operators

Earning potential ranges from 65% to 68% based on your equipment investment: 68% when fully pump and air equipped, 67% with pump or air systems, and 65% for non-specialized equipment. We pass 100% of fuel surcharges directly to owner operators, and detention pay begins after two hours of unload and offload time, rewarding your time on the clock.
