Services Team Leader – Resource Management

Baker Hughes is seeking a Services Team Leader – Resource Management to lead field operations and optimize resource allocation across turbomachinery service delivery in Calgary, Alberta. The Opportunity

Lead a high-performing services team responsible for managing resources, scheduling field personnel, and coordinating maintenance and repair operations for turbomachinery equipment. You will ensure reliable service delivery across assignments while continuously improving operational efficiency, cost management, and team capability. This role bridges technical field operations with strategic resource planning, requiring both hands-on leadership and data-driven decision-making to meet customer commitments and business objectives in the Calgary region and beyond.

Core Duties

• Direct and mentor a services team, fostering accountability, professional development, and a strong safety culture across all field operations
• Allocate personnel, equipment, and materials to service assignments, optimizing resource utilization and project timelines
• Schedule maintenance and repair work to maximize technician productivity while meeting customer service-level agreements
• Monitor team performance, track key metrics, and implement continuous improvement initiatives to reduce costs and enhance service quality
• Coordinate logistics, material planning, and field readiness to support reliable, on-time service delivery
• Liaise with customers, internal departments, and field teams to resolve operational issues and communicate status updates
• Contribute to training programs and competency development for team members

Requirements

• Proven leadership experience managing technical field teams or operations in energy, manufacturing, or related industries
• Strong organizational and resource-planning skills, with experience in scheduling and workforce optimization
• Knowledge of turbomachinery equipment, maintenance practices, or energy sector operations
• Demonstrated ability to drive safety, quality, and cost discipline across field operations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with capability to engage effectively at all organizational levels
• Proficiency with operational planning tools and data analysis; computer literacy with Microsoft Office
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or related field, or equivalent industry experience
