Principal Product Manager, Document Domain

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential SaaS organization seeking a Principal Product Manager to lead the evolution of their document experience platform. In this senior role, you will:

• Lead high-impact initiatives across document creation, authoring, and collaboration experiences
• Shape cohesive end-to-end document workflows, ensuring users can move naturally from drafting to completion
• Integrate AI capabilities directly into document experiences—including authoring, refinement, structure, and automation—with a focus on real user outcomes
• Define product direction for modern document systems, blending structured content, intelligent assistance, and collaborative workflows
• Partner closely with design, engineering, AI platform, and core platform teams on APIs, integrations, and data models that enable scalable experiences
• Collaborate with other senior product managers to ensure consistent, connected journeys across the platform
• Drive continuous improvement through experimentation, customer feedback, and product telemetry
• Shape the long-term direction of the document domain, ensuring flexibility, coherence, and readiness for evolving AI-powered capabilities

What We're Looking For

• 7+ years of hands-on product management experience in B2B SaaS, ideally across document creation, productivity, collaboration, or content platforms
• Proven experience owning complex user-facing domains end-to-end—from strategy through delivery and iteration
• Familiarity with document systems, structured content, and cross-format editing models (PDF, DOCX, Markdown, or AI-generated content)
• Direct experience shipping AI-powered product features, including defining UX behavior, rollout strategies, and iteration based on real-world usage
• Comfort integrating AI into workflows thoughtfully, focusing on measurable user outcomes rather than standalone capabilities
• Skilled in rapid discovery and iteration using prototypes, experiments, and AI-assisted tools
• Demonstrated AI fluency—using AI for analysis, prototyping, and workflow automation, with strong judgment to translate ambiguous AI capabilities into dependable product experiences
• Strong communicator who simplifies complexity, frames trade-offs clearly, and aligns cross-functional teams
• Pragmatic and execution-oriented, balancing experimentation with prioritization and delivery discipline
• Comfortable partnering with deeply technical teams on system design, APIs, and platform constraints
