About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential cryptocurrency exchange in their search for a Community Lead focused on their professional trading platform. This is not a standard social media role—you'll be embedded with serious traders, speaking their language, and serving as the voice between the platform and the most demanding users in crypto.

We're looking for someone who trades, understands market microstructure, and can build credibility in Discord channels and Telegram groups where marketing speak gets you muted. You'll own community strategy for a platform serving institutional clients, high-frequency traders, and sophisticated retail users who expect speed, transparency, and technical depth.

Responsibilities

• Maintain active presence across Discord, Telegram, X, TradingView, Reddit, and trader communities—not as a monitor, but as a credible participant
• Respond in real-time during market events, chain halts, new listings, and volatility spikes with accurate information before misinformation spreads
• Design and launch an ambassador program for power users, market makers, and high-volume traders who provide authentic product feedback
• Host AMAs, live trading sessions, feature launches, and transparent post-mortems when issues occur
• Serve as the conduit between community feedback and product teams, delivering detailed reports on bugs, feature requests, and UX friction
• Create content that gets shared organically—threads on market structure, feature breakdowns, release notes that traders actually read
• Track and report metrics: sentiment analysis, share of voice, community-driven signups, and retention of high-value accounts

What We're Looking For

• Active trading experience with real understanding of funding rates, maker/taker models, slippage, order types, and execution quality
• 3+ years managing communities or social channels for technical products with skeptical, knowledgeable audiences (crypto, fintech, gaming, or developer tools)
• Exceptional writing ability across formats—quick, punchy short-form and substantive long-form that holds up to scrutiny
• Resilience and judgment in high-pressure situations; you can de-escalate heated conversations without corporate deflection and know when to push back
• Track record building community programs from scratch, not just maintaining existing channels
• Autonomous work style—you make sound decisions quickly without waiting for approval chains
• Comfort operating in fast-moving environments with frequent product releases and shifting priorities
• Located in or eligible to work in the United Kingdom
