About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential enterprise software organization seeking a Staff Solutions Engineer to join their technical sales team in London. This role sits at the intersection of client engagement and technical expertise, supporting strategic accounts across the UK region. Our client is a leader in API connectivity and cloud-native infrastructure solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical sales cycles for enterprise and strategic accounts, partnering closely with account executives
- Conduct discovery sessions, requirement gathering, product demonstrations, and technical reviews with prospective clients
- Design and support proof-of-concept evaluations from planning through successful completion
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with technical and executive stakeholders throughout the sales lifecycle
- Onboard new customers and identify expansion opportunities within existing accounts
- Collaborate with support, product, and engineering teams to ensure customer satisfaction and prioritize client needs
- Develop technical documentation for DevOps teams, implementation guides, and service engagement materials
- Contribute to demand generation activities including blog posts, webinars, and industry events
What We're Looking For
- 7+ years of pre-sales solutions engineering experience at a SaaS, open-source, or enterprise software company
- Proven track record working with open-source technologies and business models
- Strong foundational knowledge of API management, integration platforms, and cloud computing architectures
- Demonstrated ability to present technical solutions and lead discussions with C-level executives, directors, product managers, and engineering teams
- Comfort operating in fast-paced, high-growth environments
- Experience with API gateway or service mesh technologies (preferred)
- Working knowledge of containerization platforms such as Docker or Kubernetes
- Familiarity with NGINX, HTTP protocols, cloud platforms, and database technologies
- Proficiency working within Linux operating systems
- Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
