About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential consulting organization in Düsseldorf that specializes in enterprise-scale product information management and technical systems integration. Our talent team is seeking an experienced project leader to guide complex implementation projects for industrial clients across Germany.

In this role, you will lead cross-functional project teams through the implementation of enterprise software systems that manage product information flows—from development and engineering through documentation and service. You will coordinate between business departments, IT teams, and third-party vendors, navigate corporate governance structures, and ensure successful delivery of transformational initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end implementation projects for product lifecycle and requirements management systems at both mid-market and enterprise clients
• Guide business stakeholders through requirements gathering, testing, and migration phases while balancing project demands with their operational responsibilities
• Manage vendor relationships at the deliverable level, ensuring timely and quality execution
• Prepare and present steering committee decisions and governance updates jointly with client leadership
• Serve as the primary point of contact for project planning, progress tracking, and overall project governance
• Collaborate with senior consultants on solution design, data architecture, and semantic modeling
• Support pre-implementation advisory engagements including system landscape assessment, vendor evaluation, and implementation roadmap development
• Focus particularly on technical documentation system migrations and integrations, as well as requirements and change management platform implementations

What We're Looking For

• Six to ten years of professional experience, including at least three years leading implementation or system replacement projects with direct interface to business departments and external vendors
• Proven experience navigating enterprise governance structures including steering committees or comparable decision-making bodies
• Deep expertise in at least one of the following domains with understanding of adjacent areas: Product Lifecycle Management systems (such as Teamcenter or Windchill), technical documentation platforms (such as SCHEMA ST4, Arbortext, Docufy, or DITA), Application Lifecycle Management and requirements tools (such as Codebeamer, Polarion, DOORS, or Jama), or SAP
• Strong capabilities in work package planning, risk management, acceptance processes, and vendor management
• Fluent German (negotiation level) and good English proficiency
• Willingness to travel to client sites as needed
• University degree in business informatics, industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, or comparable qualification
• Project leadership experience from either vendor/partner organizations or consulting firms is equally valued
